Chess Scholars

Develop your child’s intellect through the royal game of chess! Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

Art Club
Art Fundamentals (K-5th Grade)

Students are instructed on the elements and principles of art while working on exercises and projects meant to activate their brain’s right side. Students will become familiar with techniques that will help them to develop their own style in an art studio setting.

Architecture Club (3rd-5th Grade)

Using architectural models and Embers’ building itself, students study concepts such as floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans. Each session includes an array of small projects, from sketching with a ruler, paper, and pencil, to modeling with cardboard, foam, and/or wood. The goal of this course is to prepare students who are interested in architecture to begin building their skill sets early on.

Bricks 4 Kidz
PreK-5th Grade

Bricks 4 Kidz programs are built around proprietary model plans, designed by engineers and architects, with exciting themes such as space, construction, and amusement parks. This workshop incorporates three levels:

  • Lego Club: builders will use DUPLO® motorized bricks and jumbo bricks to create and explore.
  • Jr Robotics: design and build with motorized LEGO® bricks; introduction to robotics and engineering.
  • Robotics & Coding: builders will use Spike Prime and Microbit to dive into advanced robotics and coding, combining hands-on building with digital programming.
