Weather Forecast: Flower Showers!
On a misty Wednesday morning this past week, the Development team “showered” our families with flowers, celebrating Embers’ Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is our most important fundraiser of the year and supports every facet of daily life at Embers, including teacher salaries, classroom maintenance, and so much more. As of this week, Embers has raised over $117,000 of our $250,000 goal!

Parent/Teacher Conferences:
Sign-ups Available Soon
Trimester I ends on Friday, November 17. Parent/Teacher conferences will be held in-person at Embers on Monday, November 2o, from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. The sign-up form will go live via the Pick-A-Time link in next Saturday’s Spark Newsletter.
To be respectful of our teachers’ schedules, please note that conferences will only be held on Monday. Conferences may not be scheduled for any other day. If you plan to be out of town, please schedule your appointment and then contact your student’s teacher(s) to set up a virtual conference. If you do not contact your teacher, it will be assumed that you are doing an in-person conference.

Basketball Begins Today!
Several of our basketball teams will kick off their season today with a fun and competitive afternoon. We welcome Embers families & friends to attend any game this season and cheer our Sparks on to victory!

Feed My Starving Children

|
|
On Thursday, our 4th and 5th grade classes took a field trip to Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg. Together, they packed over 30,000 meals; feeding 83 children a meal – every day – for a year!

Embers Ofrenda: Photos Welcome
In celebration of All Souls Day on Wednesday, November 1, our Spanish faculty has been building an Ofrenda in the lobby to honor our recently departed. Students may bring in a picture of someone they know who has passed away in the last year. These photos will be included in our Ofrenda and we will pray for the repose of their souls during the month of November.
