Thanksgiving Week

As we come together in grateful reflection, please know that we consider you and your family a bountiful blessing!  

  • Monday, Nov. 22nd: dismissal at 3:05 p.m.
    PeeWee and Homework Club until 4:30 p.m., After Care until 5:30 p.m.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 23rd: dismissal at 3:05 p.m.
    After Care only until 5:30 p.m.

  • Wednesday, Nov. 24th – Friday, Nov. 26th:
    NO SCHOOL for Thanksgiving Break.

Construction Update



Thank you for your patience and cooperation with our new traffic pattern, due to the construction at the front of the building.  We will keep you posted on progress updates as they become available. In the meantime, we have lots of interesting things to look at each day!

Novena to the Immaculate Conception

The Novena to the Immaculate Conception will take place from November 30th to December 8th at St. Mary of the Angels Church, 1850 N. Hermitage Avenue, Chicago.  Mass each evening at 7:15 pm. Several priests will hear confessions starting 30 minutes before each Mass.  

Embers students and families are invited to attend the Novena, particularly on December 3, where our Sparks participate in the Mass.  All students should wear their Embers uniforms.

After Care Update

Change in Billing Procedure

We have been  experiencing staffing issues caused by not knowing how many children will be attending the Before Care and After Care Programs. Therefore, Embers will be making changes to the way Before Care and After Care charges will be billed starting December 1st. 

Your Smart Tuition account will be billed for the days your student is registered in the Before Care and/or After Care Programs, regardless of attendance. The “Drop-In” charge for those students not pre-registered for Before School and After School Care is an additional $5.00.  To ensure proper staffing, 48 hours notice is needed. If less than 48 hours notice is given, the “Drop-In” fee will be charged.

If your child attends Before Care and/or After Care on a regular basis, please fill out the form below for the days your child will be attending Before Care and/or After Care.
