School Starts in Two Weeks
It’s hard to believe we are two weeks away from the start of the school year, on Tuesday, September 3. Please note: on the first day of school, there will be an early dismissal at 11:30 a.m. and no morning or afternoon Extended Day Program (EDP). We look forward to having our Sparks back on campus!

Hot Lunch Ordering

Embers’ hot lunch program is provided by Marla’s Brown Bag Lunch. Marla’s partners with local vendors to provide fresh and delicious lunches that kids love to eat! The first hot lunch date is Wednesday, September 4th.

Stop by to peruse the gently used skirts, vests, and more that have been generously donated by our families. Payments are accepted by cash or check; donate what you are able!

EDP Registration is Now Live!
 
Embers’ Extended Day Program (EDP) includes care before and after school on full days of school. EDP begins Wednesday, September 4.
 
  • Morning Care: 7:30-7:55 a.m.  |  $8.00 per student
  • Afternoon Care: 3:05-5:30 p.m. (2 sessions)  |  $10.00 per student, per session

It’s Ice Cream Time!
 
Everyone is invited to kick off the school year at our annual Ice Cream Social.  Join us for ice cream and crafts, pick up your yearbook (if ordered), and visit with fellow Spark families! Be on the lookout for the Punchbowl invite coming soon.

Embers’ Fire Choir is open to all 2nd-5th Grade students, regardless of experience or skill. This is a beginning choir for all to learn the joys and benefits of singing!
 
Fire Choir Meets on Wednesdays
2nd & 3rd Grade: 3:05-3:45 p.m.
4th & 5th Grade: 3:05-4:15 p.m.
The first rehearsal will be Wednesday, September 11th!

Fall Cross Country – Ready for Another Win!

The Embers Academy Cross Country team is open to students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.  Practices will be held after school and the students will compete in three City Suburban Catholic Conference (CSCC) meets in September.

Daily Milk
Milk is now available to order for students in PreK (full day only) through 5th Grade. Orders are due by Friday, August 30; delivery begins Wednesday, September 4th. For more information or to order, click HERE.

Business Office Notification
New this year, all fees and payments will be added to your Blackbaud Tuition Management (BTM) account. This includes fees for field trips, fundraisers, and more,  in addition to items that were previously included on BTM, including Extended Day Program (EDP), the milk program, and extracurricular activities (unless otherwise noted). Each family will be required to have a BTM account. If you have any questions, please contact our Business office at business@embersacademy.org.

Back to School Fair
Thursday, August 29, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Our Back to School Fair is a casual, open house-style event where families can stop by to meet their teachers, visit classrooms, and drop off school supplies. We will also have information available on our extracurricular offerings, including many new options this year!

Students in our PreK classes are asked to attend with their parents, while attendance is optional for students in grades K-5. Please note that educational information will be outlined at the parents’-only Curriculum Night, on Thursday, September 19.

Congratulations to the Valencia family on the birth of their son, Pedro José! Pedro was warmly welcomed by his siblings, including Embers students Ana Maria (PreK4), Esteban (2nd) and Alejandra (4th).
