Christmas Week at Embers!
Wednesday, December 14: Christmas Concert, 6:30 p.m.
Northridge Gymnasium
Students arrive at 6:15 p.m.
Join us for a jolly evening of Christmas music performed by the talented Sparks in grades K-5! Remember to dress to impress our audience. Students should be in their Christmas best: dress pants, skirts or dresses, plus festive accessories such as ties, scarves or hair bows. (Please no t-shirts, jeans, or gym shoes!)

Accessorize your uniform with Christmas socks, festive hats and holiday hair accessories.
Friday, December 16:
Red and Green Day
Dress out of uniform in red, green, or your favorite Christmas shirt.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
One very special program at Embers is the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This immersive experience allows students in PK- Grade 2 the opportunity to learn about our Catholic faith in a tactile way. On Monday, a group of PK4 students spent time in our Atrium learning about Angel Gabriel’s visit to Mary. They practiced their faith by exploring the different stations.

Christmas Eve Mass
Embers families are invited to celebrate the annual Christmas Eve Mass at St. Mary of the Angels. Students and families that would like to join the choir are welcome!

Thank you to the many, many moms and dads who participated in Embers Parents Association events this year! We love seeing our parents come together to build community and knowledge. Haven’t had a chance to attend? All families are encouraged to check out EPA’s events in the new year: Dads Club, Coffee & Convo, and Little Sparks resume in January; Moms Club resumes in February.

Christmas Break
Christmas Break begins on Friday! Students will be off as follows:
- Monday, December 19 – Friday, December 30: NO SCHOOL (Christmas Break)
- Monday, January 2: NO SCHOOL (New Year’s Holiday)
- Tuesday, January 3: NO SCHOOL (Faculty In-Service Day)
- Wednesday, January 4: Classes Resume. EDP resumes.

Lookin’ Fine… On Monday!
Due to our campus closure on Friday, students who were awarded an out-of-uniform slip for “Lookin’ Fine All the Time” in November can come out of uniform on Monday.
As a reminder, students who successfully wear all uniform pieces each month will be invited to participate in these out-of-uniform days.

Congratulations to the Salomon family on the birth of their daughter, Jasmine Nina, born on 11/15/22. Jasmine joins siblings Simele (1st) and George (PK4).

Honest Work Helps Others
All our students have been putting in honest work in order to earn canned goods for December’s virtue activity. Congratulations to Ms. Zavacki’s 2nd Grade who was the first class to exceed their classroom goal! There is still one week left to meet our all-school goal of 300 cans. Keep up the good work!
